Student Life Office | Community Service

“The mission of Centre College is to prepare students for lives of learning, leadership, and service in a global society.”

Learning how to make a positive difference in the world is central to the mission of Centre College. The Office of Community Service is your connection to service opportunities on campus, in the Danville/Boyle County area, and across the world. For students at Centre, service is not just a one-time activity – it’s a way of life.

From Centre Action Reaches Everyone (C.A.R.E.) – Centre’s largest, umbrella service organization – to The Bonner Program, Alpha Phi Omega, Up ‘til Dawn, and our fraternities and sororities, there are many ways for Centre students to get involved and make a difference. Over 85% of Centre students volunteer on a regular basis, experiencing the joy of creating positive change in our community.

In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “Anyone can be great, because anyone can serve.” Please use the resources on this page to connect to service opportunities in our area, or if you are interested in starting a service project of your own, please contact Matt Klooster, Director of Community Service and the Bonner Program to get started!
