For the second year in a row, Centre's Commencement enjoyed the national media spotlight. In 2012, NBC Nightly News' college commencement feature included coverage of Centre's Honor Walk ceremony, a campus tradition where graduating seniors honor those who have influenced them most. This year, ABC World News Tonight included a portion of Centre's Commencement speaker and ABC Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz' address during its “Celebrating the Next Generation” commencement wrap-up segment.The 2013 Commencement marked Raddatz' return to Newlin Hall at Centre's Norton Center for the Arts. In October 2012 she took the stage as moderator of the Vice Presidential Debate at Centre.




Centre College, founded in 1819, is a nationally ranked liberal arts college in Danville, Ky. Centre hosted its second Vice Presidential Debate on 10.11.12, and remains the smallest college in the smallest town ever to host a general election debate. For more, click here.
