1. Position at Centre?
Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Head Softball Coach and Athletic Department Work Study Coordinator.

2. Where did you grow up (and describe the place in one phrase or sentence)?
Burgin, Ky. We have one caution light — not even a real stop light!

3. What are your hobbies?
I love being outside working in the yard and garden, spending time at the pool, reading and playing with my two dogs.

4. What is your dream vacation?
At least two weeks in Hawaii.

5. Favorite artist and/or work of art?
Monet’s “Jardin à Sainte.”

6. Favorite novel or poem?
“Beach Music” by Pat Conroy.

7. Favorite sport (to watch or play)?
Basketball and softball, of course!

8. Favorite TV show?
The original “Two and A Half Men” and “Criminal Minds.”

9. Favorite album?
Anything from George Strait to Elvis to Bon Jovi. My new favorite music group is Aly’an [a duo including Centre basketball player Alyson Burke ’12].

10. Favorite holiday?

Pizza and anything chocolate.

12. Most prized possession?
My family.

13. Three people, living or deceased, whom you’d invite to the same dinner party?
John Wooden, John F. Kennedy and Dixie Carter.

14. Favorite aspect of your job?
Working with and getting to know the young women on my teams and watching them grow and mature over their four years at Centre.

15. Most memorable experience of your youth?
Summertime games of “hide and go seek” in our neighborhood — a street of ten houses — with all the neighborhood kids.

16. What would you be doing if you weren't working at Centre?
Working at another institution similar to Centre.

17. Educational experience that's been most helpful to you?
Using the skills I learned in all the psychology classes I took while I was at Centre in coaching my teams.

18. Fictional character in whose shoes you’d love to spend a day?
Wonder Woman or Princess Leia.

19. Favorite place on campus (and why)?
The Lawn in front of Old Centre in the spring. And Alumni Gymnasium — especially when the lights are off and it is quiet and peaceful.

20. Advice you'd give to a first-year college student to make success more likely?
Find a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Make the most of your opportunities. Enjoy your time at Centre — it flies!
