1. Position at Centre?
Norton Center Director of Programs and Public Relations

2. Where did you grow up (and describe the place in one phrase or sentence)?
Lancaster, Ky.; a quiet, close-knit community where everyone knows each other

3. What are your hobbies?
Gardening and landscape projects, playing the piano, traveling to new and exciting places

4. What is your dream vacation?
Any tropical beach!

5. Favorite artist and/or work of art?
Georgia O’Keeffe

6. Favorite novel or poem?
“The Best Thing in the World” by Elizabeth Barrett Browning is one of my favorites.

7. Most memorable event you attended at the Norton Center?
The Dolly Parton concert

8. Favorite TV show?
Criminal Minds, CSI and Law and Order: SVU

9. Favorite album?
Soundtracks from the movies Forrest Gump, Fried Green Tomatoes, Dirty Dancing and The Big Chill

10. Favorite singer and/or band?
Al Green

11. Favorite food?
True to my southern roots, it’s anything fried!

12. Favorite season?
Summer

13. Three people, living or deceased, who you’d invite to the same dinner party?
My grandmothers (both deceased) and my mom

14. Favorite aspect of your job?
Meeting new and exciting people

15. Favorite Centre tradition?
I really don’t have a favorite tradition.

16. What would you be doing if you weren't working at Centre?
Definitely something fun and exciting

17. Educational experience that's been most helpful to you?
A week-long conference on arts management

18. Best thing about growing up in your family?
We were very close. My mom always cooked a big meal each evening and we all sat at the table and ate together. We had one television and we all watched it together. We would race home from church on Sunday night to watch Bonanza! (It was the first television program produced in color.) My dad and mom came from large families, so I had lots of aunts and uncles and plenty of cousins to be with. There were lots of picnics and get-togethers where we had loads of fun.

19. Favorite place on campus (and why)?
The Norton Center because of all the different events that occur in it.

20. Advice you'd give to a first-year college student to make success more likely?
Get involved in all kinds of clubs and groups so you’ll have new friends and won’t miss home as badly, and make sure you attend all the performances at the Norton Center!
