Bradley Nystrom is professor emeritus of education at Centre College, where he taught from 1973 until 2006. He has particular expertise in secondary education and worked closely with Centre students who planned to teach at the secondary level.

Having traveled to East Africa during summer 2000 and 2002 to participate in international symposia, Nystrom is reviving his interest in comparative education. He has visited schools in India and Egypt as part of Fulbright-Hays group projects as well as schools in Russia. He has taught at the Moshi Secondary School in Tanzania, East Africa, at Stillwater (MN) High School, and at Carleton College. Nystrom is co-author of Centre College in The Kentucky Encyclopedia, (The University Press of Kentucky, 1992), as well as co-author of Higher Education in Developing Countries: A Select Biography (Harvard University Center for International Affairs, 1970). He also wrote “Centre Prep” in the June 1989 issue of Centrepiece.

A member of the Comparative and International Education Society, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the National Council for Social Studies. Nystrom holds a B.A. from St. Olaf College, and M.A., Ph.D., and a Certificate of African Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
